A Dot-Com Company


A dot-com company, or simply a dot-com is a company that does most of its business on the Internet, usually through a website that uses the popular top-level domain ".com" It was popularised and it took advantage through the venture capital funding.The aim of it was to to capture a majority share of whatever market was being entered
The existing companies moulded themselves into the online companies and suffixed .com in their usual name.
The internet provided good markets for certain companies that were planned and executed properly. 
However some businesses failed due to the lack of proper execution and how they promoted their product in the early 2000s. Some of the failed companies were,, etc

On the other hand,due to a combination of rapidly increasing stock prices, market confidence,individual 
speculation in stocks, and widely available venture capital created an environment through which many companies advanced and became popular.
